We use premium 160 gsm brilliant white paper in all our notebooks and journals. Having tested a variety of water-based inks (Tombow, Crayola Supertips, Zebra Mildliner and Sakura Gelly Roll) we found them to work great without any bleeding.
Alcohol based inks such as Promarkers and Prisma color tend to bleed as they ideally need coated paper. Even though our paper is not coated, the quality makes the bleed very slight. You'll see this, and which pens work best in the video below
